Ingredients
1 package alba choc. drink mix
2 tbsp water
2 tbsp raisins
1 tbsp chunky peanut butter
3/4 oz grape-nuts
Directions
Mix Alba and water together and add the rest of the ingredients; form into
a bar on saran wrap and freeze.
I make it into 2 bars and then usually one bar or half a bar is enough to
satisfy me. TOTAL RECIPE COUNTS AS: 1 M, 1 P, 1 F, 1 FR AND 1 B.

The low calorie diet
Put simply, the low calorie diet says that if you are going to reduce weight, the most important step is to consume less calories than you actually use. Definition of a calorie? The calorie is a unit for measuring food's ability to produce heat and energy. The 'calorie' is the the energy required to increase the temperature of 1 gram of water by 1 degree centigrade at normal atmospheric pressure. If a meal contains more calories, then it will provide your body with more energy when eaten. Examples of low calorie foods include celery, carrots, apricot, canadian bacon, and eggs. The Zone Diet The Zone diet is a diet system initially detailed by Barry Sears in a number of books, publications and an associated web site. The Zone diet isn’t distinctly a weight reduction diet, but many zone diet followers discover that they really seem to lose weight by following this system. The 'science' claimed for the Zone Diet is that if one can manage to control the amount of insulin and glucogen (both hormones), then anti-inflammatory chemicals are released which puts one's body in a state of balance that is an awful lot more healthful than usual, which followers of the diet, refer to as '"he zone". Sears states that when your body is in this 'zone' it is much more efficient and, as a consequence, does not need to build up stores of fat. The most important procedure of the zone system is to keep tight control over the precise ratio of carbs to proteins, and to make sure your diet has increased amounts of Omega 3 and omega 6. Flavonoid superfoods (inlcudes garlic, broccoli, lima bean & chamomile) The flavonoids found in these fruit, vegetables and pulses are believed to be helpful as anti-carcinogens. Researchers investigating the properties of flavonoids suspect that they may well have many benefits to our health, amongst them, anti-allergic and anti-platelet powers. Most are low in calories, so should be included in your diet. |
