recommended in this recipe, also helps to make the waffles lighter.

Flavonoid rich foods
(inlcudes olive oil, kale, adzuki bean and thyme)

The compounds known as flavonoids found in these fruit and vegetables are believed to be good in preventing cancer.
Specialists investigating the nutritional effects of flavonoids believe that they might also have many benefits to our wellbeing, including anti-dermatitis and anti-platelet activities..
Many also help you lose weight, so should be included in every weight loss program.

Foods containing allyl sulfides
( includes garlic, chives and welsh onion)

The alliaceae family of foods is rich in allyl sulphides, a chemical which experts believe might be linked to a reduced risk of stomach and colon cancer.
Even though there is too little scientific evidence available, allyl sulphides are also thought by nutritionalists to help with antiinflammatory effect, sterilization and diabetes.

Foods containing allyl sulfides also help you lose weight, so you should add them to your weight loss regime.

The low-cal diet

Rather obviously, low calorie diet is based on the fact that if you are going to diet successfully, the most important step is to take in less calories than your body normally needs.

So what is a calorie?
The calorie is the standard unit for energy measurement in dieting. A food calorie is the amount of heat required to raise 1 kilogram of water 1 degree centigrade. If a food type has more calories, then it will turn into a larger amount of energy when your body converts it.

Low-cal food types include lettuce, tomatoes, apricot, low fat hot-dogs, and skimmed milk.

"A good cook is the peculiar gift of the gods. He must be a perfect creature from the brain to the palate, from the palate to the finger's end.

"A diet is the penalty we pay for exceeding the feed limit."

"Reality check: you can never, ever, use weight loss to solve problems that are not related to your weight. At your goal weight or not, you still have to live with yourself and deal with your problems. You will still have the same husband, the same job, the same kids, and the same life. Losing weight is not a cure for life"
