The Atkins’ Diet
First invented by doctor atkins in the 1960s, the atkins diet achieved most of its fame during the last few years. Although highly controversial, it supposedly allows fat reduction whilst allowing you to eat foods that are normally considered bad for diets, like meat and cheeses.
On the atkins diet it is considered good to eat fat and protein, it is the carbs that must be avoided. Because of this, it is known as a low carbohydrate/high protein, weight loss regime.
With this diet, the foods you should avoid are processed and refined sugar, milk, white bread, starchy vegetables, white rice and white flour, amongst them, cereals and pasta made from white flour.
With this diet the foods you are encouraged to eat continues to be nutrient-rich unprocessed foods such as meat, fish & poultry. You also can eat shellfish, regular full fat cheese, butter and olive oil.

The Atkins’ Diet Theory
The logic of the atkins diet is that if we take in fewer carbohydrates, our bodies will utilise our fat and we will diet successfully

"Reality check: you can never, ever, use weight loss to solve problems that are not related to your weight. At your goal weight or not, you still have to live with yourself and deal with your problems. You will still have the same husband, the same job, the same kids, and the same life. Losing weight is not a cure for life"
