Foods containing allyl sulfides
( includes garlic, white onions and welsh onion) The onion family is rich in allyl sulphides, a chemical which experts believe might be linked to a reduced risk of stomach and colon cancer. Even though there is too little hard medical proof available, allyl sulfides are also believed to aid in blood circulation, high blood pressure and physical exhaustion. Foods containing allyl sulfides also help you lose weight, so should be a part of every weight loss regime. Flavonoid rich foods (inlcudes onion, fennel, soy and cayenne) The flavonoids present in these fruits and vegetables are believed to be helpful in fighting cancer. Experts studying the effects of flavonoids believe they may well also have many benefits to our wellbeing, including, but not limited to, anti-dermatitis and antitumor activities.. Most are also low in calories, so are ideal for including in your weight loss program. |
