Ingredients
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup finely-chopped fresh cilantro
1 1/2 oz tequila
1 1/2 tbsp ground cumin
1 tbsp chopped garlic
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp freshly-ground black pepper
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
2 lb boneless skinless chicken breast ha
1/2 stick butter
Directions
Heat oven 400 degrees.
In a large bowl, combine oil, cilantro, tequila, cumin, garlic, salt,
pepper and cayenne. Add chicken and toss to coat.
Transfer chicken to a baking sheet. Bake 12 to 14 minutes, or until
largest piece is cooked through.
Remove from oven and top each breast with a small pat of butter and let
melt.
This recipe yields 4 servings.

The Zone Diet
The Zone diet is a diet system first invented by Barry Sears in a number of books, publications and an associated website. The Zone diet isn’t specifically a weight loss diet, although many 'zone dieters' discover that they really reduce a few pounds by following the zone diet. The science behind the Zone Diet is that if you can gain control of the levels of insulin and glucogen (two hormones), then your body releases eicosanoids which puts your body in a balanced state which is an awful lot more wholesome than normal, this is referred to as 'the zone'. Sears holds the theory that when in the 'zone', your body is working at its best and, as a result, does not build up layers of fat. The most interesting process of the diet is to maintain the precise ratio of carbs to proteins, and to ensure your diet has increased amounts of Omega 6 and omega 3 fish oils. Flavonoid foods (inlcudes lettuce, red apples, lima bean and dill) The flavonoids which are present in these natural foods are believed to have properties as cancer fighters. Experts who have been studying the nutritional effects of flavonoids think that they also have numerous other health giving capabilities, including, but not limited to, antiviral and anti-platelet activities.. The majority of these are also low in calories, so should be included in your weight loss regime. |
