Weight loss systems

The South Beach Diet
The South Beach diet is a diet started by Cardiologist arthur agatston which encourages that dieters should eat "good carbohydrates" instead of "bad carbs" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats"
Dr. agatston developed his system for his cardiac patients, based on his detailed analysis of scientific studies completed on other weight loss systems.
"good" foods include, veal cutlets, turkey breast, oysters, fat free cheese, pistachio nuts, lowfat yoghurt and certain vegetables, like black beans, collard greens and water chestnuts.

The Atkins’ Diet
Originating way back in the 1960s, the popular atkins diet is still one of the most popular diets today. Although not accepted by all scientists, it claims to allow weight reduction but still allows you to eat many foods that would not be part of a normal diet, for example meat and cheeses.
With this diet you are encouraged to eat meat and fat, it is the carbs that are on the banned list. It is often referred to as a low carbohydrate, high protein, diet.
With this diet, the foods you should avoid are processed and refined sugar, milk, white bread, starchy vegetables, white rice and white flour, including cereals and pasta made from white flour.
Unlike other diets, with the atkins diet the foods you are encouraged to eat are nutrient-rich unprocessed foods such as meat, fish and, as a consequence, poultry. You also can eat shellfish, regular full fat cheese, butter and olive oil.

The Atkins’ Diet Theory
The logic behind the atkins diet is that if we eat less carbohydrates, we will use the fat we already carry and we will lose weight

"A good cook is the peculiar gift of the gods. He must be a perfect creature from the brain to the palate, from the palate to the finger's end.

"A diet is the penalty we pay for exceeding the feed limit."

"Reality check: you can never, ever, use weight loss to solve problems that are not related to your weight. At your goal weight or not, you still have to live with yourself and deal with your problems. You will still have the same husband, the same job, the same kids, and the same life. Losing weight is not a cure for life"
