The Atkins’ Diet
First invented by doctor atkins in the 1960s, the popular atkins diet achieved most of its fame during the last decade. Having many well known film stars amongst its supporters, it claims to allow fat reduction whilst allowing you to eat many of the foods you love, eg beef and butter.
Unlike other diets, with the atkins diet you are supposed to eat fat and protein, it is the carbs that must be avoided. Because of this, it is known as a low carb/high protein, weight loss program.
With this diet, the foods you should avoid are processed and refined sugar, milk, white bread, starchy vegetables, white rice and white flour, including, but not limited to, cereals and pasta made from white flour.
With this diet the foods you are encouraged to eat continues to be nutrient-rich unprocessed foods like meat, fish and poultry. You also can eat shellfish, regular full fat cheese, butter and olive oil.

The South Beach Diet
The South Beach diet is a diet created by Dr. arthur agatston, a cardiologist from miami, usa, which encourages that dieters should eat "good carbohydrates" instead of "bad carbs" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats"
Dr. agatston invented his nutritional system for his cardiac patients, based on his detailed analysis of scientific data completed on other nutritional studies.
Examples of good foods include, lean beef, turkey bacon, clams, feta cheese, pistachios, nonfat milk and some vegatables, such as butter beans, collard greens and turnips.

Foods containing allyl sulfides
( includes garlic, onions and green onion)

The onion family is high in allyl sulphides, a chemical which experts believe may be linked to a reduced risk of stomach and colon cancer.
Even though there is little definitive proof present, allyl sulphides are also thought by nutritionalists to help with blood circulation, sterilization and diabetes.

Foods containing allyl sulfides also have a low calorie count, so should be a part of every diet.

"A good cook is the peculiar gift of the gods. He must be a perfect creature from the brain to the palate, from the palate to the finger's end.

"A diet is the penalty we pay for exceeding the feed limit."

"Reality check: you can never, ever, use weight loss to solve problems that are not related to your weight. At your goal weight or not, you still have to live with yourself and deal with your problems. You will still have the same husband, the same job, the same kids, and the same life. Losing weight is not a cure for life"
