Ingredients
1 cup chicken, cooked
2 1/4 cup water
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp curry powder
2 tsp lime juice
1 package chicken-flavor noodles/sauce
8 oz green beans, frozen
1 tbsp coconut, flaked
Directions
Shred chicken. Stir together water, garlic, curry, and lime juice.
Bring to boil, then stir in noodles and green beans. Continue boiling
over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 7 minutes or until noodles
are tender. Stir in chicken and coconut; heat through.
Sylvia's comments: In spite of its name, this was more flavorful than
spicy. For a more fiery effect, use more curry powder.

Foods high in flavonoids (inlcudes onion, asparagus, scarlet runner bean & chamomile) The large family of compounds known as flavonoids found in these natural foods are believed to be helpful as cancer fighters. Experts researching the properties of flavonoids think they may well have most other healthy benefits, including, but not limited to, anti-allergic and antiplatelet properties. Broccoli, Celery, Tatsoi and Napa) These cruciferous vegetables have large amounts of vitamins (eg.vitamin c), minerals (selenium and potassium, amongst others), fibre, chlorophyll, antioxidents, isothiocyanates, and indole-3-carbinol. Amongst many health benefits, a few of these nutrients are thought to help reduce the cancer risk. The Zone Diet The Zone diet is a diet system first created by Barry Sears in a series of books, publications and an associated web site. The Zone diet isn’t particularly a weight reduction diet, however many followers find that they manage to lose weight by following the zone diet. The scientific theory behind the Zone Diet is that if one can limit the secretion of insulin and glucogen (two hormones), then anti-inflammatory chemicals are released which, as a result puts your body in a state of balance which is an awful lot more healthy than normal, which, not surprisingly, is known as 'the zone'. Sears holds the theory that when your body is in this 'zone' it is working at its most efficient and, because of this, does not build up fat. The main process of the system is to monitor and control the exact ratio of carbohydrates to proteins, and to make sure your diet has high levels of Omega 3 and omega 6. |
