The Recipe Instructions
 

 

Ingredients

6 medium apples, firm
1 sugar substitute to equal>>>
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 sticks cinnamon
3 whole cloves
1 1/2 cup cranberry juice, unsweetened
1/4 cup lemon juice


Directions

Wash and core apples; slice unpeeled into thick slices. Place in flat
pan. Combine remaining ingredients, and boil 5 minutes. Reserve 1/4
cup juice mixture, and set aside. Pour remaining juice mixture over
apple slices. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until apples
slices appear transparent; baste occasionally with the 1/4 cup juice
mixture. Serve Hot or Cold as a garnish for your Salad. Or by itself:
Yield: 12 - 1/2 cup serving. Each serving may be exchanged for: 1

The Zone Diet
The Zone diet is a diet first advocated by Barry Sears in a series of books, publications and an associated web site. The Zone diet is not expressly a fat reduction diet, although many zone diet followers find that they really seem to lose body weight by following this system.
The main theory of the Zone Diet is that if one can control the amount of insulin and glucogen (two hormones), then your body releases eicosanoids (anti-inflamatory chemicals) which, as a consequence puts the body in a state of equilibrium which is more healthful than other diets, which, not surprisingly, is known as 'the zone'.
Sears states that a body that is in 'the zone' is working at its most efficient and, because of this, doesn't need to build up stores of fat.
The key process of the diet is to keep tight control over the exact ratio of carbohydrates to proteins, and to ensure your diet has plenty of Omega 3 and omega 6.


The South Beach Diet
The South Beach diet is a diet plan created by Florida-based cardiologist arthur agatston which encourages that dieters should eat "good carbs" instead of "bad carbohydrates" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats"
Doctor agatston developed his nutritional system for people who have cardiac problems, as a consequence of his detailed study of scientific research on other dietary studies.
Good foods include, lean cuts of beef, turkey bacon, shrimp, cottage cheese, peanuts, eggs and some vegatables, like lentils, collard greens and turnips.
