Diet information

The Atkins’ Diet
First invented by doctor atkins in the 1960s, the popular atkins diet achieved most of its fame during the last decade. Although highly controversial, it supposedly allows fat reduction whilst encouraging you to eat many foods that would not be part of a normal diet, such as lamb and butter.
Unlike other diets, on the atkins diet you are supposed to eat fat and protein, it is carbohydrates that need to be avoided. It is often referred to as a high protein, low carb, nutrition and weightloss system.
With this diet, the foods you should avoid are processed and refined sugar, milk, white bread, starchy vegetables, white rice and white flour, including cereals and pasta made from white flour.
Unlike other diets, on the atkins diet the foods you are encouraged to eat are still nutrient-rich unprocessed foods such as meat, fish and, as a consequence, poultry. You also can eat shellfish, regular full fat cheese, butter and, as a result, olive oil.

The Atkins’ Diet Theory
The theory of the popular atkins diet is that if we cut down on carbohydrates, we will use our fat and we will reduce weight

"Reality check: you can never, ever, use weight loss to solve problems that are not related to your weight. At your goal weight or not, you still have to live with yourself and deal with your problems. You will still have the same husband, the same job, the same kids, and the same life. Losing weight is not a cure for life"
