Super foods containing lycopene
(includes watermelon, papaya and rosehip)

The phytochemical lycopene is a simple coloring agent and one of the carotenid family. Lycopene is the reason for the red hue of some types of food.

Fortunately, unlike numerous vitamins, lycopene does not degrade if cooked, rather it is actually improved by being cooked.

. Its most valuable advantage is that it serves as an antioxidant and is thought to help to lower the risk of contracting cancer.

Lycopene is the most effective quencher of singlet oxygen, which is connected with aging of the skin. It's also thought by many experts to curtail the progression of diseases affecting arterial blood vessels.

Foods containing allyl sulfides
( includes garlic, white onions and green onion)

The alliaceae family of foods is rich in allyl sulphides, a chemical which experts believe may be linked to a reduced risk of stomach and colon cancer.
Even though there is as yet, not enough scientific proof available, allyl sulphides are also thought by many researchers to aid in antiinflammatory effect, sterilization and fatigue.

Foods containing allyl sulfides are also good for weight loss, so you should add them to your weight loss program.

The Zone Diet
The Zone diet is a weight loss program primarily suggested by Barry Sears in a number of books, publications and an associated web site. The Zone diet isn’t exactly a weight reduction diet, but many zone diet fans believe that they manage to lose a few pounds by following it.
The scientific theory behind the Zone Diet is that if one can limit the amount of insulin and glucogen (two hormones), then anti-inflammatory chemicals are released which, as a consequence puts one's body in a state of equilibrium that is much more healthy than other diets, known as the 'zone'.
Sears believes that if you get into this 'zone', your metabolism is perfectly balanced and, because of this, does not convert energy to unsightly fat.
The most valuable process of the diet is to keep tight control over the ratio of carbs to proteins, and to dose yourself with increased amounts of Omega 3 and omega 6.

"A good cook is the peculiar gift of the gods. He must be a perfect creature from the brain to the palate, from the palate to the finger's end.
"Walter Savage Landor"

"A diet is the penalty we pay for exceeding the feed limit."

"Reality check: you can never, ever, use weight loss to solve problems that are not related to your weight. At your goal weight or not, you still have to live with yourself and deal with your problems. You will still have the same husband, the same job, the same kids, and the same life. Losing weight is not a cure for life"
