The South Beach Diet
The South Beach diet is a diet created by Dr. arthur agatston which emphasizes that one should eat "good carbs" instead of "bad carbohydrates" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats"
Dr. agatston invented his weight loss regime for people who have cardiac problems, as a result of his detailed study of scientific studies on other dietary studies.
Good foods include, lean beef, chicken breast, oysters, fat free cheese, almonds, lowfat milk and certain vegetables, like butter beans, cauliflower and spinach.

Foods containing allyl sulfides
( includes pickled shallots, leeks and green onion)

The onion and garlic range of vegetables is high in allyl sulfides, a chemical which experts believe might be linked to a reduced risk of stomach and colon cancer.
Even though there is precious little scientific proof published, allyl sulphides are also thought to reduce symptoms with antiinflammatory effect, arteriosclerosis and physical exhaustion.

Foods containing allyl sulfides are also low in calories, so should be included in every weight loss program.

"A good cook is the peculiar gift of the gods. He must be a perfect creature from the brain to the palate, from the palate to the finger's end.

"A diet is the penalty we pay for exceeding the feed limit."

"Reality check: you can never, ever, use weight loss to solve problems that are not related to your weight. At your goal weight or not, you still have to live with yourself and deal with your problems. You will still have the same husband, the same job, the same kids, and the same life. Losing weight is not a cure for life"
