The Glycaemic Index Diet
The gi index diet system is reliant on the gi index, a list of foods and an indicator of the speed with which the glucose and energy of the food type gets changed to glucose in your blood stream. The believe is that slow release types of food (ie with a low Glycaemic index score), suppress your appetite and help you to take in less food without feeling hungry.
It's also very beneficial for people with diabetes, as the low GI types of food are beneficial in preventing rises in blood glucose levels.

Foods containing allyl sulfides
( includes eschalot, chives and green onion)

The onion family of vegetables is high in allyl sulphides, a chemical which experts believe could be linked to a reduced risk of stomach and colon cancer.
Even though there is not much scientific evidence present, allyl sulphides are also thought by nutritionalists to reduce the symptoms of colds, arteriosclerosis and fatigue.

Foods containing allyl sulfides are also low in calories, so are ideal for including in your weight loss program.

"Reality check: you can never, ever, use weight loss to solve problems that are not related to your weight. At your goal weight or not, you still have to live with yourself and deal with your problems. You will still have the same husband, the same job, the same kids, and the same life. Losing weight is not a cure for life"
