Foods containing allyl sulfides
( includes eschalot, onions and green onion) The alliaceae family is high in allyl sulphides, a chemical which experts believe may be linked to a reduced risk of stomach and colon cancer. Even though there is little real proof published, allyl sulfides are also thought by many researchers to reduce problems with colds, arteriosclerosis and fatigue. Foods containing allyl sulfides also have a low calorie count, so should be included in your diet. |
