Diet Raspberry Melba Sauce Recipe brought to you by Diet Recipes To-Go
Diet typesThe Zone Diet The Zone diet is a nutrition and weightloss system first invented by Barry Sears in a number of books and publications. The Zone diet is not exactly a fat reduction diet, however many 'zone dieters' believe that they reduce body weight by following this system. The main theory behind the Zone Diet is that if you manage to gain control of the secretion of two key hormones, (insulin and glucogen), then your body releases eicosanoids (anti-inflamatory chemicals) which puts the body in a balanced state that is much more healthful than it normally is, known as the 'zone'. Sears holds the theory that when in the 'zone', your body is working at its most efficient and, as a result, doesn't convert energy to unsightly fat. The main method of the system is to monitor and control the exact ratio of carbs to proteins, and to dose yourself with plenty of Omega 3 and omega 6. |
