Ingredients
2 tsp olive oil
8 oz cooked ground beef lean
1/4 cup diced onions
1/2 garlic clove, minced
1 medium tomato chopped and seeded
1 small apple, pared and chopped
1 sliced canned jalapeno
2 tbsp raisins
2 large stuffed olives, sliced
2 pitted black olives, sliced
1/4 tsp each salt and pepper
1 dash each cinnamon & cloves
Directions
1. In a 10" skillet heat oil over medium heat; add ground beef and
cook, breaking up large pieces with a wooden spoon, until crumbly.
Add onion and garlic and saute until softened, about 5 minutes. Stir
in the remaining ingredients. Reduce heat to low and cook, stirring
occasionally until flavors are well blended, about 20 minutes.
2. Serve over rice or as a filling for burritos or tacos.

Foods containing allyl sulfides
( includes pickled shallots, chives and green onion) The onion family of foods is high in allyl sulfides, a chemical which experts believe may be linked to a reduced risk of stomach and colon cancer. Even though there is as yet, not enough hard medical proof obtainable, allyl sulphides are also believed to help with antiinflammatory effect, arteriosclerosis and physical exhaustion. Foods containing allyl sulfides are low in calories, so should be included in every diet system. The brassica family, Superfoods that also help with your Weight loss (examples: Kohlrabi, Cauliflower, Mustard greens and Horseradish) These cruciferous vegetables are rich in vitamins (eg.folate), minerals (eg. selenium), fibre, chlorophyll, antioxidents and isothiocyanates. Amongst numerous health and diet benefits, some of these nutrients are believed by many to significantly lower the risk of getting cancer. The Atkins’ Diet First invented by doctor atkins in the 1960s, the atkins diet is still one of the most popular diets today. Although highly controversial, it claims to allow fat reduction whilst allowing many foods that are not normally available to dieters, for example bacon and hard cheeses. Unlike other diets, on the atkins diet you are encouraged to eat meat and fat, it is the carbs that are on the banned list. It is referred to as a low carbohydrate, high protein, diet system. With this diet, the foods you should avoid are processed and refined sugar, milk, white bread, starchy vegetables, white rice and white flour, including cereals and pasta made from white flour. Unlike other diets, with the atkins diet the foods you are encouraged to eat are nutrient-rich unprocessed foods such as meat, fish & poultry. You also can eat shellfish, regular full fat cheese, butter & olive oil.
