Weight loss systems

The Atkins’ Diet
First invented by doctor atkins in the sixities, the famous atkins diet is still one of the most popular diets today. Although not accepted by all scientists, it claims to allow weight reduction whilst encouraging you to eat many foods that are not normally available to dieters, for example bacon and cheeses.
On the atkins diet it is considered good to eat fat and protein, it is carbohydrates that need to be avoided. Because of this, it is known as a low carbohydrate/high protein, nutrition system.
With this diet, the foods you should avoid are processed and refined sugar, milk, white bread, starchy vegetables, white rice and white flour, including cereals and pasta made from white flour.
On the atkins diet the foods you are encouraged to eat continues to be nutrient-rich unprocessed foods such as meat, fish and poultry. You also can eat shellfish, regular full fat cheese, butter and olive oil.

The Atkins’ Diet Theory
The controversial theory behind the atkins diet is that if we eat less carbs, we will use up the fat we have stored and we will lose weight

"Reality check: you can never, ever, use weight loss to solve problems that are not related to your weight. At your goal weight or not, you still have to live with yourself and deal with your problems. You will still have the same husband, the same job, the same kids, and the same life. Losing weight is not a cure for life"
