The Recipe Instructions

Ingredients

1 loaf french bread, cut into 1 inch, cubes
1 16-ounce can light sliced peaches,, drained
1/2 cup raisins
2 eggs
2 egg whites
3/4 cup sugar
1 12-ounce can evaporated skim milk
2 cup skim milk
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp butter flavoring
1 tsp coconut flavoring
1 tbsp vanilla

Directions

Preheat oven to 350'F.

Place bread cubes in a 3-quart baking dish. (I spray with Pam first).
Add peaches and raisins to bread, mixing gently. In a bowl, combine
eggs and egg whites with sugar and mix well. Add evaporated milk,
skim milk, spices and flavorings, and blend well.

Pour egg mixture evenly over bread, and press bread with fork so it
will soak up liquid (I use my hands). Bake for 30 to 40 minutes.
Insert knife near center; if it comes out clean, its done.

Sauce

2 Tablespoons light margarine 2 Tablespoons flour
1 1/3 cup skim milk 1 Tablespoon rum flavoring

Melt margarine in a small saucepan and add flour and sugar, mixing
well. Add milk, stirring constantly. Cook until mixture comes to a
boil; boil 1 minute. Remove from heat and stir in flavoring. Serve
over hot bread pudding.

in the fridge and reheats well in the microwave. I would not suggest
freezing, as it is a custard.

A double batch of this can be made in those turkey roaster pans.
Reheat at 300'F for 20 minutes. We made this for our Garden Club
Christmas Boutique that served 300, and everyone loved it.

A low calorie weight loss regime

In a nutshell, a low calorie weight loss regime is based on the fact that if you plan to achieve weight loss, the most important step is to consume less calories than your body requires.

Definition of a calorie?
A calorie is a unit of measurement for energy. The food calorie is the amount of heat required to raise 1 kilogram of water 1 degree centigrade. If your meal has higher calories, then it will provide your body with a larger amount of energy when it is converted.

Low calorie food types include green beans, tomato, grapefruit, low fat ham, and bamboo shoots.

The Zone Diet
The Zone diet is a weight loss regime first suggested by Barry Sears in a number of books, publications and an associated website. The Zone diet is not specifically a weight loss diet, nevertheless some people find that they manage to lose a few pounds by following it.
The supposed science behind the Zone Diet is that if one can control the secretion of insulin and glucogen (two hormones produced naturally by your body), then anti-inflammatory chemicals are released which puts one's body in a state of balance that is much, much more healthy than other diets, which, not surprisingly, is known as 'the zone'.
Sears believes that when in the 'zone', your body is much more efficient and, as a consequence, does not need to build up stores of fat.
The most interesting process of the zone diet is to keep tight control over the ratio of carbohydrates to proteins, and to ensure you get large amounts of Omega 6 and omega 3 fish oils.

Cruciferous vegetables, Healthy superfoods that aid Your diet
(includes Cauliflower, Watercress, Collard greens and Rutabaga)
Members of the brassica family have large amounts of vitamins (folate and vitamin c, for example), minerals (selenium and potassium, for example), fibre, chlorophyll and antioxidents.

Amongst numerous great health properties, these contain isothiocyanates, which are thought by many to reduce the risk of cancer.

"Reality check: you can never, ever, use weight loss to solve problems that are not related to your weight. At your goal weight or not, you still have to live with yourself and deal with your problems. You will still have the same husband, the same job, the same kids, and the same life. Losing weight is not a cure for life"
