Ingredients
2 cup orange juice
1 or
1 cup unsweetened grape juice
1 cup water
4 tbsp unflavored gelatin (4 pkg)
2 tsp vanilla
Directions
Pour 1 cup of fruit juice into a bowl. Sprinkle gelatin over top to
soften. Let stand 5 minutes.
Boil remaining 1 cup orange juice (or water). Stir into gelatin
mixture until it dissolves, about 3 minutes. Stir in vanilla.
Pour into a rinsed 8 inch square cake pan. Chill about 4 hours until
firm. Cut into 1 inch squares to serve.

The Zone Diet
The Zone diet is a weight loss program primarily invented by Barry Sears in a number of books and publications. The Zone diet is not distinctly a weight loss diet, however many zone diet fans find that they lose weight by following this system. The main theory of the Zone Diet is that if one can manage to control the secretion of two important hormones, (insulin and glucogen), then anti-inflammatory chemicals are released which puts one's body in a balanced state which is more healthful than it normally is, which, not surprisingly, is known as 'the zone'. Sears holds the theory that when in the 'zone', your body is working at its most efficient and, as a consequence, does not need to convert surplus energy to fat. The most interesting procedure of the system is to monitor and control the precise ratio of carbs to proteins, and to dose yourself with large amounts of Omega 3 fish oils. Foods containing allyl sulfides ( includes garlic, chives and spring onions) The onion and garlic family of vegetables is rich in allyl sulfides, a chemical which experts believe may be linked to a reduced risk of stomach and colon cancer. Even though there is precious little real proof available, allyl sulphides are also thought by many researchers to help with antiinflammatory effect, high blood pressure and physical exhaustion. Foods containing allyl sulfides also help you lose weight, so you should add them to your weight loss regime. |
