The Recipe Instructions |

Ingredients
3 cup white flour
1/2 cup wheatgerm
2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp allspice
2/3 cup unsweetened chocolate chips
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
3/4 cup orange juice
Directions
In a large bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, salt & allspice.
Stir in the chocolate chips. Add the rest of the ingredients in
order, beating well after each addition.
Lightly oil non-stick cookie sheets. Drop the batter by the
teaspoonful onto the cookie sheets. Bake 12 to 15 minutes until
lightly browned. Cool on wire racks.
NOTE: I've had wild variations with this recipe. One batch cooked in
7 minutes, one batch did not cook until 20 minutes. It seems to have
settled down between 12 & 15 minutes as I changed some of the
ingredient amounts. I've also had anything from 33 to
45 cookies in a batch.

Low calorie diet
In a nutshell, the low calorie diet is based on the fact that if you want to become thinner, it is important to eat less calories than you burn up. So what is a calorie? The calorie is the standard unit for energy measurement in dieting. The 'calorie' is the the amount of energy required to raise the temperature of one gram of water by one degree celsius. If a food type contains more calories, then it will turn into more energy to use when your body burns it. Low calorie foods include lettuce, tomatoes, melon, lower fat hot-dogs, and skimmed milk. The South Beach Diet The South Beach diet is a diet system invented by Cardiologist arthur agatston which encourages that one should eat "good carbs" instead of "bad carbs" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats" Agatston invented his nutritional system for people who have cardiac problems, based on his detailed study of scientific studies completed on other weight loss systems. Approved foods include, lean cuts of beef, skinless poultry, fish and shellfish, low or fat free cheeses, pistachio nuts, lowfat yoghurt and some vegatables, like lentils, cucumbers and sprouts. Foods containing carotenes (includes paprika, rose hip puree and winter squash) These colorful healthy plants contain carotenes (alpha and beta) believed by doctors to play a role in preventing cancer, particularly cancers of the lungs and stomach. Most are low in calories, so make sure you add them to your diet. |
