Ingredients
1 1/2 cup water
1/4 tsp salt
2 tbsp raisins
2/3 cup uncooked quick-cooking oats
1 tsp ground cinnamon
Directions
Combine water, salt, and raisins in a small saucepan; bring to a
boil.
Stir in oats and cinnamon.
Reduce heat, and simmer 1 minute or until water is absorbed.
Remove vrom heat, and serve warm. Makes 4, 1/2 cup servings.

Low calorie diet
As most people know, low calorie diet says that if you want to become thinner, the important thing to injest less calories than you actually use. What is a calorie? A calorie is a measurement of the energy provided by food. The calorie is the the amount of energy required to raise the temperature of one gram of water by one degree celsius. If a food type contains more calories, then it will turn into more energy to use when your body digests it. Low-cal foods include watercress, cabbage, melon, canadian bacon, and skimmed milk. The brassicas, Super foods that aid Weight loss (examples: Cauliflower, Celery, Turnip greens and Radishes) Known as cruciferous vegetables, these are rich in vitamins (eg.folate and vitamin c), minerals (selenium and potassium, amongst others), fibre, chlorophyll, antioxidents, and indole-3-carbinol. Over and above their many great health properties, the minerals, vitamins and nutrients in these are thought by experts to reduce the risk of cancer. |
