The Recipe Instructions

Ingredients

1/2 tsp butter or margarine for baking dish
2 tbsp butter or margarine - cut into smal, l pieces
1 10 oz. loaf french or italian bread, - cut into 1

Directions

This was posted on *P by Maggie Cecil-Zachos - ID#JSHM25A - and is a
favorite of hers.
Grease a 9 x 13 inch glass baking dish with the 1/2 tsp. butter or
margarine. Arrange bread in one layer in baking dish.
In a large microwave safe bowl or pan, mix eggs, salt, sugar, milk
and vanilla. Place the bowl in the microwave and heat on HIGH for
five (5) minutes, stirring twice.
For heating on the range, place the egg mixture in a medium
saucepan and heat on medium, stirring as needed, until hot, BUT NOT
BOILING, about 5 minutes. Be careful not to let the mixture boil,
because it will set the eggs.
Pour the hot egg mixture gently over the bread slices and cover with
plastic wrap. Refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.....
To bake - dot with the 2 tbsp. butter pieces and place uncovered
pan in cold oven. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes, until
bread is puffy and lightly brown. Remove from heat and let stand 5
minutes.
Serve with Cary's SF Syrup, sugar free jelly, or fresh fruit.
Enjoy..... Converted by MMCONV vers. 1.00

The Glycaemic Index Diet
The gi index weight loss regime is linked to the glycaemic index, a chart showing food types and an indicator of the ease that the energy of the food type gets changed to sugar in the dieters bloodstream. The claim is that slow release types of food (ie those foods with a low Gi number), will keep you feeling full for longer and help to injest less food without feeling you are missing out.
It is also extremeley useful for folk with diabetes, as the low GI foods are helpful in preventing increases in blood sugar levels.

The Zone Diet
The Zone diet is a diet system initially advocated by Barry Sears in a series of books, publications and an associated web site. The Zone diet isn’t distinctly a fat reduction diet, however many people believe that they actually manage to lose weight when following it.
The main theory behind the Zone Diet is that if one can manage to gain control of the amount of insulin and glucogen (two hormones), then your body releases eicosanoids which, as a consequence puts the body in a state of equilibrium that is a lot more healthful than usual, which is known as the zone.
Sears holds the theory that when your body is in this 'zone' it is much more efficient and, as a result, does not build up layers of fat.
The main technique of the zone system is to keep tight control over the exact ratio of carbohydrates to proteins, and to ensure your diet has increased levels of Omega 6 and omega 3 fish oils.

Superfoods rich in flavonoids
(inlcudes dark chocolate, fennel, scarlet runner bean & peppermint)

The nutrients known as flavonoids present in these fruit, vegetables and pulses are believed to be helpful as cancer fighters.
Medical experts who have been studying the nutritional effects of flavonoids suspect that they also have numerous other healthy benefits, including, but not limited to, anti-dermatitis and anti-inflammatory activities..
A good number are also good for weight loss, so should be a part of every weight loss regime.

"Reality check: you can never, ever, use weight loss to solve problems that are not related to your weight. At your goal weight or not, you still have to live with yourself and deal with your problems. You will still have the same husband, the same job, the same kids, and the same life. Losing weight is not a cure for life"
