Diet New York Cheesecake Recipe brought to you by Diet Recipes To-Go
Diet typesThe Atkins’ Diet First invented by doctor atkins in the sixities, the atkins diet is still one of the most popular diets today. Having many well known film stars amongst its supporters, it supposedly allows weight reduction whilst allowing many foods that would not be part of a normal diet, for example pork and hard cheese. On the atkins diet you are supposed to eat fat and protein, it is the carbs that are on the banned list. It is often referred to as a high protein, low carb, nutrition system. With this diet, the foods you should avoid are processed and refined sugar, milk, white bread, starchy vegetables, white rice and white flour, including cereals and pasta made from white flour. On the atkins diet the foods you are encouraged to eat are nutrient-rich unprocessed foods such as meat, fish and poultry. You also can eat shellfish, regular full fat cheese, butter and olive oil. The Zone Diet The Zone diet is a nutrition system primarily created by Barry Sears in a series of books, publications and an accompanying website. The Zone diet isn’t specifically a fat reduction diet, nevertheless many followers discover that they really reduce a few pounds by following the zone diet. The 'science' claimed for the Zone Diet is that if you can limit the levels of two important hormones, (insulin and glucogen), then anti-inflammatory chemicals are released which, as a result puts the body in a state of balance which is much, much more wholesome than usual, which followers of the diet, refer to as '"he zone". Sears holds the theory that if you get into this 'zone', your body is working at its most efficient and, as a consequence, doesn't build up layers of fat. The main process of the zone system is to control the precise ratio of carbohydrates to proteins, and to ensure you get large amounts of Omega 6 and omega 3 fish oils. The Glycaemic Index Diet The gi (or glycaemic index) diet is based on the gi index, a list of foods and an indicator of the ease that the glucose in the food gets transformed to sugar in the dieters system. The believe is that long-acting foods (ie those foods with a low Glycaemic score), keep you satisfied for a longer period of time and help to reduce your intake of food without feeling hungry. It's also extremely beneficial for people with diabetes, as the low GI types of food are useful in managing increases in glucose secretion. The South Beach Diet The South Beach diet is a weight loss system invented by Cardiologist arthur agatston which stresses that dieters should eat "good carbohydrates" instead of "bad carbs" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats" Agatston developed his nutritional system as an aid to patients with heart conditions, based on his detailed analysis of scientific data on other nutritional studies. Approved foods include, veal cutlets, skinless poultry, shellfish, provolone cheese, pistachios, lowfat milk and certain vegetables, like lentils, broccoli and turnips. |
