Foods rich in flavonoids
(inlcudes garlic, kohlrabi, lima bean & peppermint)

The flavonoids discovered in these food types show promise in helping to prevent cancer.
Experts who have been studying the nutritional effects of flavonoids believe they could also have many other healthy properties, including, but not limited to, anti-candida and antioxidant powers.
Most also have a low calorie count, so make sure you add them to your weight loss regime.

Wonder foods with carotenes
(includes cilantro, collard greens and winter squash)
These amazing vegetables and fruits are rich in carotenes (alpha and beta) believed by many to help in minimizing the chances of contracting, specifically those cancers involving the lung, esophagus and stomach. Most are also low in calories, so should be included in your diet.

"A good cook is the peculiar gift of the gods. He must be a perfect creature from the brain to the palate, from the palate to the finger's end.
"Walter Savage Landor"

"A diet is the penalty we pay for exceeding the feed limit."

"Reality check: you can never, ever, use weight loss to solve problems that are not related to your weight. At your goal weight or not, you still have to live with yourself and deal with your problems. You will still have the same husband, the same job, the same kids, and the same life. Losing weight is not a cure for life"
Phillip C. McGraw
