Ingredients
1 egg, separated
1 cup artificial sweetener
2 cup cornflakes
1 cup shredded coconut
1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
1/2 tsp almond extract
Directions
Beat egg white until stiff but not dry. Fold in sweetener equivalent
to 1 cup sugar. Add remaining ingredients. Drop by teaspoonfulls onto
greased baking sheet. Bake 350F for 12 minutes. Remove from pan at
once. Makes about 3 1/2 dozen cookies, each cookie is
1/2 fat. 24 calories.

Types of dietThe Glycaemic Index Diet The gi (or glycaemic index) nutrition and weightloss system is based on the gi index, a list of foods and a score representing the speed that the glucose and energy of the food type gets transformed to sugar in the dieters blood stream. Sears claims that if you get into this 'zone', your metabolism is much more efficient and, as a result, doesn't build up fat. The key technique of the zone diet is to maintain the precise ratio of carbohydrates to proteins, and to make sure your diet has plenty of Omega 6 and omega 3 fish oils. |
