Foods containing allyl sulfides
( includes garlic, chives and spring onions) The alliaceae family of vegetables is high in allyl sulphides, a chemical which experts believe might be linked to a reduced risk of stomach and colon cancer. Even though there is not enough, scientific evidence obtainable, allyl sulphides are also believed to reduce problems with blood circulation, sterilization and physical exhaustion. Foods containing allyl sulfides also have a low calorie count, so should be included in every diet. The low calorie diet Put simply, the low-cal diet states that if you intend to get rid of some fat, the most important step is to eat less calories than you need for exercise. So what is a calorie? A calorie is a measurement of the energy provided by food. A food calorie is the the amount of energy required to raise the temperature of one gram of water by one degree celsius. If a food contains more calories, then it will turn into more energy when your body digests it. Examples of low calorie foods include brussels sprouts, radishes, guava, beef, and eggs. |
