The South Beach Diet
The South Beach diet is a diet created by Cardiologist arthur agatston which emphasizes that dieters should eat "good carbs" instead of "bad carbs" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats"
Agatston invented the south beach diet for his cardiac patients, based on his detailed study of scientific research completed on other weight loss systems.
Examples of good foods include, broiled ham, turkey bacon, fish and shellfish, fat-free cheeses, pistachio nuts, lowfat yoghurt and some vegatables, like artichokes, collard greens and turnips.

The Atkins’ Diet
Developed by dr. robert atkins in the 1960s, the famous atkins diet has been one of the most popular weight loss systms over the last few years. Although highly controversial, it claims to allow weight loss whilst still eating many foods that would not be part of a normal diet, such as bacon and hard cheeses.
With this diet it is considered good to eat fat and protein, it is carbohydrates that need to be avoided. It is often referred to as a low carb/high protein, diet system.
With this diet, the foods you should avoid are processed and refined sugar, milk, white bread, starchy vegetables, white rice and white flour, amongst them, cereals and pasta made from white flour.
With the atkins diet the foods you are encouraged to eat continues to be nutrient-rich unprocessed foods like meat, fish & poultry. You also can eat shellfish, regular full fat cheese, butter and olive oil.

The Atkins’ Diet Theory
The logic of the famous atkins diet is that if we take in less carbohydrates, our bodies will burn up the fat we have stored and we will reduce weight

Flavonoid foods
(inlcudes cranberry, cabbage, scarlet runner bean and thyme)

The flavonoids present in these fruit, vegetables and pulses are believed to be good in fighting cancer.
Medical experts investigating the medical effects of flavonoids think that they could have many health giving properties, including anti-allergic and anti-platelet powers.
A good number are also low in calories, so make sure you add them to your diet system.

"Reality check: you can never, ever, use weight loss to solve problems that are not related to your weight. At your goal weight or not, you still have to live with yourself and deal with your problems. You will still have the same husband, the same job, the same kids, and the same life. Losing weight is not a cure for life"
