The Glycaemic Index Diet
The glycaemic index weight loss regime is linked to the glycaemic index, a list of foods and a score illustrating the rapidity that the glucose in the food gets converted to glucose in the dieters blood stream. The theory is that slow release food types (ie with a low Glycaemic score), suppress your appetite and help to consume fewer food without feeling you are missing out. It is also extremely effective for people with diabetes, as the low GI types of food are beneficial in controlling rises in glucose levels. Foods containing carotenes (includes carrots, collard greens and sweet potatoes) These orange and green superfoods contain alpha and beta carotenes believed by scientists to help in minimizing the chances of contracting, particularly those cancers involving the esophagus and stomach. Most are also low in calories, so should be included in every weight loss regime. |
