Ingredients

3 small chicken breasts halved, skin, removed
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp dried rosemary
1/4 tsp pepper
2 chicken boullion cubes
1 cup water


Directions

1. PLACE CHICKEN IN NONSTICK BAKING DISH. 2. SEASON WITH SALT,
ROSEMARY AND PEPPER. 3. CRUMBLE BOULLION CUBES BETWEEN PIECES OF
CHICKEN. 4. ADD WATER, POURING INTO A CORNER OF PAN. 5. COVER WITH
FOIL; BAKE AT 350 DEGREES FOR 1 HOUR 6. UNCOVER AND BASTE WITH
DRIPPINGS. 7. BROWN UNDER THE BROILER BEFORE SERVING.

EACH SERVING: 1/2 SMALL CHICKEN BREAST EACH SERVING MAY BE
EXCHANGED FOR: 2 LOW-FAT MEAT

A low calorie weight loss regime

Put simply, the low-cal diet is based on the fact that if you are going to reduce weight, it is essential to take in less calories than you use.

Definition of a calorie?
The calorie is the unit used for measuring the amount of energy in food. A food calorie is the the amount of energy required to raise the temperature of one gram of water by one degree celsius. If a meal has higher calories, then it will gives you more energy to use when your body burns it.

Low calorie foods include watercress, radishes, melon, canadian bacon, and white eggs.


The Atkins’ Diet
First invented by doctor atkins in the sixities, the atkins diet achieved most of its fame during the last decade. Popular with many famous celebrities, it supposedly allows weight loss but still allows you to eat many of the foods you love, eg fatty meat and butter.
Unlike other diets, on the atkins diet it is considered good to eat fat and protein, it is the carbs that must be avoided. Because of this, it is known as a low carbohydrate, high protein, weight loss regime.
With this diet, the foods you should avoid are processed and refined sugar, milk, white bread, starchy vegetables, white rice and white flour, including, but not limited to, cereals and pasta made from white flour.
On the atkins diet the foods you are encouraged to eat are nutrient-rich unprocessed foods like meat, fish & poultry. You also can eat shellfish, regular full fat cheese, butter and olive oil.

The Atkins’ Diet Theory
The logic of the atkins diet is that if we consume fewer carbohydrates, we will use up the fat we already carry and we will diet successfully
