Ingredients
24 slice white bread, toasted
4 tbsp margarine, or butter
1/2 lb ground chuck
2 tbsp fat
3/4 cup onion, diced
1/4 cup celery, minced
3 tbsp prepared mustard
1 tbsp pimiento, diced
3 cup cheddar cheese, grated
6 eggs
2 1/2 cup milk
1/2 tsp salt
1 tomato slices
1 lettuce
1 salad dressing, your choice
Directions
Lightly toast bread and spread with margarine. Brown ground chuck in fat
with onion and celery. Add mustard and pimiento. Arrange 12 slices of the
toast in a large, shallow baking pan. Spread the meat filling over the
slices. Sprinkle over all the cheddar cheese. Cover with second slice of
toast. Beat eggs slightly. Add milk and salt. Pour egg and milk
combination over all. Bake at 350oF for 40 minutes.
Serve wtih tomato slices on lettuce with a simple dressing for a complete
meal!
