Place in two greased 8 1/2 " x 4 1/2 " loaf pans. Brush with melted

Weight loss systems

The Zone Diet
The Zone diet is a nutrition and weight loss system initially advocated by Barry Sears in a series of books, publications and an accompanying website. The Zone diet is not particularly a weight reduction diet, nevertheless many followers claim that they really manage to lose a few pounds by following this system.
The supposed science behind the Zone Diet is that if you manage to gain control of the amount of insulin and glucogen (two hormones), then your body releases eicosanoids which puts your body in a state of balance which is much, much more healthful than normal, known as the 'zone'.
Sears claims that when your body is in this 'zone' it is perfectly balanced and, as a result, does not build up fat.
The main procedure of the zone diet is to maintain the exact ratio of carbohydrates to proteins, and to take large amounts of Omega 3 fish oils.

The Glycaemic Index Diet
The gi (or glycaemic index) nutrition and weightloss system is linked to the gi (or glycaemic index), a chart showing food types and a score representing the ease with which the glucose in the food type gets converted to sugar in your body. The believe is that slow acting types of food (ie those foods with a low Glycaemic score), suppress your appetite and help to cut down on food without feeling hungry.
It's also beneficial for people with diabetes, as the low GI foods are useful in managing surges in blood glucose secretion.

"A good cook is the peculiar gift of the gods. He must be a perfect creature from the brain to the palate, from the palate to the finger's end.

"A diet is the penalty we pay for exceeding the feed limit."

"Reality check: you can never, ever, use weight loss to solve problems that are not related to your weight. At your goal weight or not, you still have to live with yourself and deal with your problems. You will still have the same husband, the same job, the same kids, and the same life. Losing weight is not a cure for life"
