The Recipe Instructions

Ingredients

Unsalted butter, as needed
4 oz ground hazelnuts
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
6 large eggs
1/2 cup Splenda
1 tsp vanilla extract
=== ZABAGLIONE CREAM ===
4 large egg yolks
2 tbsp Splenda
1 pinch salt
1/2 cup Marsala
3/4 cup whipping cream

Directions

Grease a 15- by 10- by 1-inch pan with butter. Line with parchment paper
and grease with butter again. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Combine the hazelnuts, baking powder and salt. Separate the eggs. With an
electric mixer, beat the yolks and Splenda with an electric mixer until
thick and lemon coloured, 3 to 4 minutes. Beat in the vanilla. Fold in
the hazelnuts.

With a clean bowl and beaters, beat the egg whites to firm peaks. Stir 1/4
into the hazelnut mixture. Fold in 1/2 of the remaining whites until
barely combined and then the remaining 1/2 until thoroughly combined.
Spread evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the
top springs back when pressed lightly.

Wring a clean dish towel out in cold water. Flip the cake along with the
parchment paper onto the towel with the long edge along the long edge of
the towel. Roll up lengthwise and let sit on a rack until cool.

Zabaglione Cream: In a stainless steel bowl, whisk the egg yolk, Splenda
and Marsala together. Fill another larger bowl 1/4 full with iced water.
Set aside.

Place the egg mixture over a pot of simmering water, whisking constantly
until the mixture triples in volume and falls in a ribbon from the whisk, 3
to 5 minutes. Immediately put the bowl over the bowl of iced water and
whisk until cold.

Whip the cream to soft peaks. Fold into the egg mixture and refrigerate
until ready to use.

Unroll cake and spread evenly with the Zabaglione Cream, leaving a 1-inch
border on all sides. Loosely roll up, using the parchment paper to aid in
rolling. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Weight loss diets

The Atkins’ Diet
Originating way back in the 1960s, the famous atkins diet is still one of the most popular diets today. Popular with many famous celebrities, it allows weight loss whilst encouraging you to eat foods that are normally considered bad for diets, for example lamb and egg and cheese.
With this diet you eat protein and fat, it is carbohydrates that need to be avoided. It is referred to as a low carb/high protein, nutrition and weight loss system.
With this diet, the foods you should avoid are processed and refined sugar, milk, white bread, starchy vegetables, white rice and white flour, including cereals and pasta made from white flour.
On the atkins diet the foods you are encouraged to eat continues to be nutrient-rich unprocessed foods like meat, fish and poultry. You also can eat shellfish, regular full fat cheese, butter and, as a consequence, olive oil.

The Atkins’ Diet Theory
The logic behind the famous atkins diet is that if we reduce your consumption of carbs, our bodies will use our stored fat and we will lose weight

The Glycaemic Index Diet
The gi index nutrition and weight loss system is based around the gi index, a list showing types of food and an indicator of the ease that the glucose and energy of the food type gets converted to sugar in your blood stream. The theory is that long-acting foods (ie those foods with a low Glycaemic index score), keep you feeling full longer and help to reduce your consumption of food without being miserabl;e.
It's also extremeley effective for people with diabetes, as the low GI food types are useful in reducing increases in glucose amount.

The Zone Diet
The Zone diet is a diet initially detailed by Barry Sears in a number of books. The Zone diet is not particularly a weight reduction diet, however some people claim that they actually lose a few pounds by following it.
The supposed science behind the Zone Diet is that if you control the amount of insulin and glucogen (two hormones), then your body releases eicosanoids which, as a result puts one's body in a balanced state that is much more healthy than usual, which is known as the zone.
Sears holds the theory that if you get into this 'zone', your metabolism is much more efficient and, because of this, doesn't build up layers of fat.
The most important technique of the zone system is to maintain the ratio of carbohydrates to proteins, and to dose yourself with increased levels of Omega 6 and omega 3 fish oils.

"A good cook is the peculiar gift of the gods. He must be a perfect creature from the brain to the palate, from the palate to the finger's end.
"Walter Savage Landor"

"A diet is the penalty we pay for exceeding the feed limit."

"Reality check: you can never, ever, use weight loss to solve problems that are not related to your weight. At your goal weight or not, you still have to live with yourself and deal with your problems. You will still have the same husband, the same job, the same kids, and the same life. Losing weight is not a cure for life"
