Ingredients
2 pineapple slices canned in own juic
1/2 cup raspberry sorbet
2 tbsp nonfat whipped topping
Directions
Place one slice of pineapple on a dessert plate. Using a melon baller,
scoop out 4 or 5 small balls of sorbet.
Top with a twisted pineapple slice. Garnish with whipped topping and serve
at once.
This recipe yields 1 serving.

The Zone Diet
The Zone diet is a weight loss program initially suggested by Barry Sears in a number of books. The Zone diet isn’t distinctly a fat reduction diet, although many followers believe that they lose a few pounds when following it. The main theory behind the Zone Diet is that if one can manage to control the amount of two important hormones, (insulin and glucogen), then anti-inflammatory chemicals are released which puts your body in a balanced state which is an awful lot more healthful than normal, which followers of the diet, refer to as '"he zone". Sears believes that when your body is in this 'zone' it is much more efficient and, as a result, doesn't convert energy to unsightly fat. The most valuable process of the zone diet is to maintain the ratio of carbohydrates to proteins, and to make sure your diet has increased amounts of Omega 3 fish oils. Healthy foods with carotenes (includes carrots, turnip greens and tomato puree) These orange and green fruit and veg are rich in alpha-carotene and beta-carotene believed by nutritionalists to play a major part in minimising the risk of cancer, specifically those cancers involving the esophagus. Many are also good for weight loss, so are ideal for including in your weight loss program. |
