Low calorie diet
Rather obviously, low calorie diet is based on the fact that if you are going to achieve weight loss, then you have to take in fewer calories than you burn up. What is a calorie? The calorie is a unit for measuring food's ability to produce heat and energy. A calorie is the amount of heat required to raise 1 kilogram of water 1 degree centigrade. If your meal contains more calories, then it will turn into a larger amount of energy when eaten. Low-cal foods include celery, cucumbers, watermelon, canadian bacon, and white eggs. Super foods containing lycopene (includes watermelon, red bell peppers and tomato) The chemical lypcopene is a non-synthetic coloring agent and part of the same family of phytochemicals as carotene. It is the agent responsible for the dark red color of a good number of fruit and vegetables. Intrestingly, unlike numerous nutrients, it does not become less effective if heated during cooking, but is in fact improved by being heated. . Its most valuable advantage is that it works as an antioxidant and appears to be an asset in the battle to reduce the risks of cancer. It is the most effective quencher of singlet oxygen, which is associated with skin aging. It's also thought by many experts to curtail the development of atherosclerosis. |
