Ingredients
1 4 pieces chicken thighs
Directions
: without skin
1/2 ts garlic powder
1/2 ts lemon pepper
16 oz tomatoes with green chilis
32 oz brussel sprouts
1 jalapeno -- sliced
: paper-thin
1 cayenne pepper -- sliced
: paper-thin
This can cook all day or for 7 hours on LOW heat in crockpot. I
pre-cook the chicken with the garlic powder and lemon pepper in the
microwave for 10 minutes on MEDIUM. Place chicken in crockpot top
with tomatoes with green chilis, hot peppers and brussel sprouts.
Serve with rice or alone. Per serving-calories 202.2, fat 3.9, 15.6
% fat.

The South Beach Diet
The South Beach diet is a diet system created by Dr. arthur agatston which encourages the consumption of "good carbs" instead of "bad carbs" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats" Dr. agatston developed his nutritional system for people who have cardiac problems, based on his analysis of scientific research completed on other nutritional studies. Good foods include, veal cutlets, turkey breast, fish, cottage cheese, peanut butter, nonfat yoghurt and some vegatables, such as green beans, celery and sprouts. The Zone Diet The Zone diet is a weight loss regime primarily invented by Barry Sears in a series of books, publications and an accompanying website. The Zone diet isn’t particularly a weight loss diet, nevertheless many 'zone dieters' discover that they really reduce weight by following this system. The main theory behind the Zone Diet is that if one can manage to limit the amount of the hormones 'insulin' and 'glucogen', then your body releases eicosanoids (anti-inflamatory chemicals) which, as a result puts one's body in a state of equilibrium that is far more wholesome than usual, known as the 'zone'. Sears believes that when your body is in this 'zone' it is working at its most efficient and, as a result, doesn't build up layers of fat. The most interesting technique of the zone system is to maintain the ratio of carbohydrates to proteins, and to dose yourself with large amounts of Omega 3 and omega 6. Superfoods containing carotenes (includes parsley, collard greens and tomato puree) These orange and green fruit and veg are rich in the carotenoids thought by many be a key nutrient in minimizing the chances of contracting, spefically cancer of the stomach. The majority of these also help you lose weight, so should be a part of every weight loss regime. |
