Diet Granny Smith Applesauce Recipe brought to you by Diet Recipes To-Go
Weight loss dietsThe South Beach Diet The South Beach diet is a weight loss system created by Florida-based cardiologist arthur agatston which stresses that one should eat "good carbs" instead of "bad carbohydrates" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats" Agatston developed this diet for people who have cardiac problems, as a result of his analysis of scientific research completed on other nutritional studies. Approved foods include, canadian bacon, skinless poultry, shrimp, fat free cheese, pistachios, nonfat yoghurt and some vegatables, like lentils, cucumbers and turnips. The Glycaemic Index Diet The gi index diet is based on the glycaemic index, a list of food types and an indicator of the speed with which the glucose of the food type gets changed to sugar in your blood stream. The believe is that long-acting foods (ie with a low Glycaemic score), keep you feeling full longer and mean that you can reduce your consumption of food without craving snacks all the time. It is also very good for sufferers from diabetes, as the low GI food types are useful in managing surges in blood glucose amount. The Zone Diet The Zone diet is a nutrition system primarily devised by Barry Sears in a series of books, publications and an accompanying website. The Zone diet isn’t exactly a fat reduction diet, nevertheless many zone diet followers believe that they actually seem to lose a few pounds when following it. The scientific theory behind the Zone Diet is that if you can limit the amount of insulin and glucogen (both hormones), then your body releases eicosanoids which, in turn puts the body in a state of equilibrium that is much, much more healthy than usual, this is referred to as 'the zone'. Sears alleges that when in the 'zone', your body is perfectly balanced and, because of this, doesn't convert energy to unsightly fat. The key process of the system is to control the ratio of carbs to proteins, and to ensure your diet has increased levels of Omega 6 and omega 3 fish oils. |
