Ingredients
1/4 cup am rice flour
1/4 cup am toasted garbanzo flour
2 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp ground red pepper
1 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 qt cold water - in a deep sauce pan
Directions
Mix all dry ingredients together. Add to 1 quart of cold water in
saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until simmering
and thick. USe over enchiladas or to season grain dishes.
SUGGESTIONS: Refrigerate extra sauce. Double or triple the dry
ingredients. Store the dry mix in a tightly closed jar. Use 3/4 cup
of the dry mix to one quart of cold water to make sauce.

Foods containing carotenes (includes parsley, collard greens and tomato puree) These fruits and vegetables contain alpha and beta carotenes believed by doctors to play a major part in minimising the risk of cancer, particularly those cancers involving the lung, esophagus and stomach. Most are also low in calories, so should be included in your diet system. Foods containing allyl sulfides ( includes garlic, onions and green onion) The onion, leek and garlic family of vegetables is high in allyl sulfides, a chemical which experts believe might be linked to a reduced risk of stomach and colon cancer. Although there is not enough, real proof published, allyl sulfides are also believed to reduce symptoms with blood circulation, arteriosclerosis and insomnia. Foods containing allyl sulfides are low in calories, so you should add them to your diet system. The Atkins’ Diet Developed by dr. robert atkins in the 1960s, the popular atkins diet is still one of the most popular diets today. Popular with many famous celebrities, it enables fat reduction but still allows you to eat many of the foods you love, such as pork and hard cheeses. On the atkins diet you are encouraged to eat meat and fat, it is the carbs that are on the banned list. It is often referred to as a low carb/high protein, diet system. With this diet, the foods you should avoid are processed and refined sugar, milk, white bread, starchy vegetables, white rice and white flour, including, but not limited to, cereals and pasta made from white flour. On the atkins diet the foods you are encouraged to eat are nutrient-rich unprocessed foods such as meat, fish and poultry. You also can eat shellfish, regular full fat cheese, butter & olive oil. |
