Ingredients

3 cup fresh broccoli flowerets
1/4 cup separated sweet onion slices
1/4 cup fromage blanc
1 tbsp white wine vinegar
2 tsp sugar
1 orange rind strips-optional
1/3 cup golden raisins
1/4 cup reduced-calorie mayonnaise
2 tbsp minced water chestnuts
1 tbsp unsweetened orange juice
1/4 tsp grated orange rind


Directions

Combine broccoli, raisins, and onion slices in a medium bowl;
toss gently.
Combine mayonnaise and next 6 ingredients in a small bowl; stir
well. Add mayonnaise mixture to broccoli mixture, and toss gently to
coat vegetables.
Cover and chill thoroughly. Garnish with orange rind strips before
serving, if desired. (57 calories per
1/2 cup serving.)

The South Beach diet is a diet system started by Florida-based cardiologist arthur agatston which encourages that dieters should be eating "good carbohydrates" instead of "bad carbs" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats"

It is also very good for diabetics, as the low GI foods are helpful in reducing increases in blood sugar secretion.
