The Recipe Instructions
 

 

Ingredients

1 tsp unflavored gelatin
2 tbsp water, cold
1 cup water, boiling
1 tbsp lemon juice
3 saccharin tablets, (1/4 grain each)
1/2 cup fruit cocktail, drained (dp)


Directions

Sprinkle gelatin over cold water; let stand 5 minutes. Add boiling
water; stir until dissolved. Add lemon juice and saccharin. Chill
until mixture begins to set. Beat until fluffy with rotary beater;
fold in fruit cocktail. Chill until firm. NOTE: Other
dietetic-packed Fruit may be substituted for fruit cocktail. Liquid
drained from fruit may be brought to boil and substituted for boiling
water. For jellied Fruit Salad, omit beating, if preferred.

The South Beach Diet
The South Beach diet is a weight loss system invented by Dr. arthur agatston which stresses that one should consume "good carbohydrates" instead of "bad carbohydrates" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats"
Agatston developed his dietary regime for his cardiac patients, as a result of his detailed analysis of scientific studies completed on other diets.
Good foods include, lean cuts of beef, skinless poultry, fish and shellfish, ricotta cheese, pecan halves, lowfat milk and some vegatables, like kidney beans, eggplant and spinach.


The Zone Diet
The Zone diet is a diet first created by Barry Sears in a number of books, publications and an associated web site. The Zone diet isn’t expressly a fat reduction diet, although many followers find that they really seem to lose body weight by following this system.
The 'science' behind the Zone Diet is that if one can manage to gain control of the amount of two important hormones, (insulin and glucogen), then anti-inflammatory chemicals are released which puts one's body in a balanced state which is more healthy than other diets, which followers of the diet, refer to as '"he zone".
Sears states that if you get into this 'zone', your metabolism is much more efficient and, because of this, doesn't build up layers of fat.
The key method of the zone diet is to control the exact ratio of carbohydrates to proteins, and to ensure your diet has increased levels of Omega 3 fish oils.
