Ingredients
8 oz nonfat vanilla yogurt
1/2 cup canned unsweetened pineapple (chunk, s) drained & chill
1/2 cup canned sliced peaches (unsweetened), - drained an
5 ice cubes
1 banana, peeled - cut into 1-inch
1/4 cup skim milk
Directions
In food processor or blender, combine all ingredients; cover and
blend on high speed about 1 minute or until smooth. Pour into tall
glasses.

from fat, 2.5 mg chol, 66 mg sod.

Types of dietThe Glycaemic Index Diet The gi (or glycaemic index) nutrition and weight loss system is linked to the gi index, a chart showing food types and a score representing the ease that the energy in the food gets changed to glucose in your body. The claim is that slow release types of food (ie those foods with a low Glycaemic index score), keep you feeling full longer and mean that you can reduce your intake of food without starving yourself. It is also especially beneficial for sufferers from diabetes, as the low GI foods are useful in minimizing increases in blood glucose amount. The Atkins’ Diet First invented by doctor atkins in the sixities, the popular atkins diet achieved most of its fame during the last few years. Popular with many famous celebrities, it allows fat reduction whilst encouraging you to eat many foods that would not be part of a normal diet, for example lamb and cheeses. With the atkins diet you eat protein and fat, it is carbohydrates that need to be avoided. It is referred to as a low carbohydrate, high protein, nutrition and weight loss system. With this diet, the foods you should avoid are processed and refined sugar, milk, white bread, starchy vegetables, white rice and white flour, including cereals and pasta made from white flour. Unlike other diets, with the atkins diet the foods you are encouraged to eat are nutrient-rich unprocessed foods such as meat, fish and, as a consequence, poultry. You also can eat shellfish, regular full fat cheese, butter and olive oil. The South Beach Diet The South Beach diet is a weight loss system created by Dr. arthur agatston, a cardiologist from miami, usa, which emphasizes the consumption of "good carbohydrates" instead of "bad carbs" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats" Dr. agatston invented the south beach diet for his cardiac patients, as a consequence of his analysis of scientific research on other nutritional studies. "good" foods include, veal cutlets, chicken breast, prawns, fat free cheese, almonds, nonfat milk and certain vegetables, like black beans, broccoli and mushrooms. |
