The South Beach Diet
The South Beach diet is a weight loss system created by Dr. arthur agatston which stresses the consumption of "good carbohydrates" instead of "bad carbohydrates" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats" Dr. agatston developed his weight loss regime for people who have heart disease, based on his detailed analysis of scientific research completed on other weight loss regimes. Examples of good foods include, veal cutlets, turkey bacon, fish, low or fat free cheeses, peanut butter, lowfat yoghurt and some vegatables, like chickpeas, celery and water chestnuts. Superfoods containing carotenes (includes parsley, turnip greens and winter squash) These amazing superfoods are rich in carotenes thought by many play a key role in cancer prevention, specifically those cancers involving the lungs. A good number are also good for weight loss, so make sure you add them to your diet. |
