Ingredients
6 tomatoes, ripe & juicy salt & fresh
1 pinch oregano, dried, or fresh thyme
4 lemon wedges, small
Directions
Wash, blanch, peel and chop the tomatoes. Put through a food mill or
sieve directly into a bowl. Add enough ice water to make 4 cups.
Season lightly with salt and pepper (if using them) and herb. Taste,
and enhance the seasonings. Serve cold with a squeeze of lemon juice.

The South Beach Diet
The South Beach diet is a diet system started by Miami-based cardiologist arthur agatston which stresses that dieters should be eating "good carbs" instead of "bad carbohydrates" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats" Agatston developed his system as an aid to patients with heart conditions, based on his detailed study of scientific data on other weight loss studies. Good foods include, canadian bacon, skinless poultry, prawns, fat free cheese, pistachio nuts, lowfat or nonfat milk and some vegatables, such as kidney beans, lettuce and sprouts. Low calorie diet In simple terms, a low calorie weight loss regime depends on the fact that if you plan to become thinner, it is important to injest less calories than you actually use. What is a calorie? A calorie is a measurement of the energy provided by food. The food calorie is the the amount of energy required to raise the temperature of one gram of water by one degree celsius. If your meal has more calories, then it will gives you a larger amount of energy when your body digests it. Foods low in calories include broccoli, carrots, watermelon, low fat ham, and white eggs. Foods containing allyl sulfides ( includes garlic, white onions and green onion) The onion, leek and garlic family is rich in allyl sulfides, a chemical which experts believe might be linked to a reduced risk of stomach and colon cancer. Although there is little definitive proof present, allyl sulphides are also believed to help with colds, sterilization and physical exhaustion. Foods containing allyl sulfides are also low in calories, so you should add them to your diet system. |
