Super foods containing lycopene
(includes apricots, red peppers and tomato sauce)

The phytochemical lycopene is a naturally occurring chemical compound and one of the carotenid family of phytochemicals. This chemical is accountable for the dark red color of some fruits and vegetables.

Unlike numerous other vitamins, it is not damaged during the cooking process, but is noticeably improved by going through the cooking process.

. Lycoprene's key advantage is that it serves as an antioxidant and seems to help lower the risk of developing cancer.

This useful phytochemical is the most effective remover of singlet oxygen, which is linked with skin aging. It's also thought by nutritionalists to slow down the progression of diseases affecting arterial blood vessels.

Foods containing allyl sulfides
( includes pickled shallots, onions and welsh onion)

The onion, leek and garlic family of foods is rich in allyl sulfides, a chemical which experts believe might be linked to a reduced risk of stomach and colon cancer.
Even though there is insufficient definitive proof at hand, allyl sulfides are also thought by many researchers to help with blood circulation, sterilization and insomnia.

Foods containing allyl sulfides also have a low calorie count, so should be included in every weight loss program.

"A diet is the penalty we pay for exceeding the feed limit."

"Reality check: you can never, ever, use weight loss to solve problems that are not related to your weight. At your goal weight or not, you still have to live with yourself and deal with your problems. You will still have the same husband, the same job, the same kids, and the same life. Losing weight is not a cure for life"
