Ingredients
1 nonstick cooking spray, mazz
1 1/2 cup flour
1/3 cup sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 egg whites
2 large ripe bananas, well mashed
1/4 cup skim milk
1/3 cup honey
Directions
Tasty treats, and the recipe can also be used to make quick bread.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Spray 12 (2 1/2-inch) muffin cups
with cooking spray. In medium bowl combine flour, sugar, baking
powder, salt and cinnamon. In large bowl, using a fork or wire
whisk, beat egg whites lightly. Stir in mashed bananas, milk and corn
syrup. Add flour mixture; stir until well blended. Spoon into
prepared muffin cups. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick
inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 5 minutes. Remove;
cool on wire rack. Fat-Free Banana Quick Bread: Preheat oven to 350
degrees F. Spray 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch loaf pan with cooking
spray. Prepare batter as directed above. Pour into prepared pan. Bake
50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool in pan 10 minutes. Remove. Serve warm or cool on wire rack.
Makes 12 servings. (Nutrition information is the same for 1 slice of

The Zone Diet
The Zone diet is a weight loss regime primarily detailed by Barry Sears in a series of books, publications and an associated web site. The Zone diet is not exactly a fat reduction diet, however some people discover that they actually lose body weight by following the zone diet. The 'science' behind the Zone Diet is that if one can limit the secretion of two important hormones, (insulin and glucogen), then your body releases eicosanoids which, as a consequence puts the body in a state of balance that is more healthful than other diets, which followers of the diet, refer to as '"he zone". Sears claims that if you get into this 'zone', your body is much more efficient and, because of this, does not build up fat. The key technique of the zone system is to maintain the precise ratio of carbohydrates to proteins, and to dose yourself with plenty of Omega 3 fish oils. The low calorie diet Rather obviously, the low calorie diet states that if you plan to get rid of some fat, it is essential to take in less calories than you need for exercise. The calorie defined? The calorie is the standard unit for energy measurement in dieting. A 'calorie' is the the amount of energy required to raise one cubic centimeter of water by one degree centigrade. If your meal has higher calories, then it will turn into more energy when your body burns it. Low calorie foods include watercress, radishes, apricots, low fat ham, and low-fat cheese. Flavonoid superfoods (inlcudes garlic, apples, adzuki bean and coriander) The nutrients called 'flavonoids' which exist in these fruits and vegetables are believed to have properties in helping to prevent cancer. Nutritionalists investigating the nutritional effects of flavonoids believe that they could have numerous other health giving capabilities, including, but not limited to, anti-candida and anti-inflammatory capabilities. Many also help you lose weight, so should be included in your weight loss program. |
