2 tbsp walnuts, or pecans, chopped

Directions
Stir brown sugar and cinnamon into cooked oatmeal. Add apple chunks,
raisins, and chopped nuts. Serve hot.

Weight loss systemsThe South Beach Diet The South Beach diet is a diet started by Miami-based cardiologist arthur agatston which encourages that dieters should eat "good carbs" instead of "bad carbohydrates" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats" Dr. agatston developed his nutritional system as an aid to patients with heart conditions, as a consequence of his detailed analysis of scientific research on other weight loss systems. Examples of good foods include, lean beef, chicken breast, prawns, fat free cheese, pistachio nuts, nonfat milk and some vegatables, like kidney beans, celery and turnips. The Atkins’ Diet First invented by doctor atkins in the 1960s, the famous atkins diet has been one of the most popular weight loss systems over the last few years. Although not accepted by all scientists, it allows weight loss whilst allowing you to eat many of the foods you love, such as bacon and egg and cheese. With this diet you are supposed to eat fat and protein, it is the carbs that are on the banned list. Because of this, it is known as a low carbohydrate/high protein, nutrition system. With this diet, the foods you should avoid are processed and refined sugar, milk, white bread, starchy vegetables, white rice and white flour, including cereals and pasta made from white flour. With this diet the foods you are encouraged to eat are nutrient-rich unprocessed foods like meat, fish and poultry. You also can eat shellfish, regular full fat cheese, butter and olive oil. The Glycaemic Index Diet The gi index nutrition and weight loss system is based around the gi index, a list of food types and a score representing the ease that the carbohydrates of the food type gets transformed to sugar in your system. The theory is that long-acting food types (ie those foods with a low Gi score), keep you feeling full longer and help you to cut down on food without craving snacks all the time. It's also extremely efficient for diabetes sufferers, as the low GI food types are beneficial in minimizing rises in blood sugar secretion. |
