The Recipe Instructions
 

 

Ingredients

1 pie crust
2 cup cream, heavy
6 oz cheese, cream, softened
2 tsp extract, vanilla
10 oz fruit spread, raspberry
1 raspberries, optional
1 leaves, mint, optional


Directions

Preheat oven to 375. Roll out pastry to 11" circle; line 9" pie
plate. Trim and flute edges; prick bottom and sides with fork. Bake
15 minutes, until golden brown.

Cool completely on wire rack.

Beat cream in small bowl on High until stiff peaks form; set aside.
Combine cream cheese and vanilla in medium bowl; beat until light and
fluffy. Blend in fruit spread, scraping sides of bowl frequently.

Reserve 1/2 c of whipped cream for garnish; fold remaining whipped
cream into cream cheese mixture until no white streaks remain. Spread
evenly into cooled pie crust. Chill at least 2 hours.

Just before serving, spoon reserved whipped cream around edge of pie.
Garnish with raspberries and fresh mint leaves, if desired.

The South Beach Diet
The South Beach diet is a diet system created by Cardiologist arthur agatston which encourages that one should eat "good carbohydrates" instead of "bad carbohydrates" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats"
Dr. agatston invented his nutritional system as an aid to patients with heart conditions, as a consequence of his detailed analysis of scientific research on other diets.
Examples of good foods include, veal cutlets, skinless poultry, fish and shellfish, mozzarella cheese, pistachio nuts, nonfat milk and some vegatables, such as artichokes, cabbage and spinach.


The Glycaemic Index Diet
The glycaemic index nutrition and weight loss system is based around the gi index, a chart showing foods and a score representing the rapidity with which the energy in the food type gets converted to glucose in the dieters bloodstream. The claim is that long-acting types of food (ie those foods with a low Glycaemic score), suppress your appetite and help you to reduce your consumption of food without being miserabl;e.
It's also very useful for people with diabetes, as the low GI foods are useful in reducing increases in glucose levels.
