Low calorie diet
In simple terms, low calorie diet says that if you are going to reduce weight, it is essential to consume less calories than you burn up. So what is a calorie? The calorie is the unit used for measuring the amount of energy in food. The calorie is the the amount of energy required to raise one cubic centimeter of water by one degree centigrade. If something has more calories, then it will gives you more energy to use when it is converted. Low calorie foods include brussels sprouts, radishes, apricots, beef, and white eggs. The Atkins’ Diet First invented by doctor atkins in the 1960s, the atkins diet has been one of the most popular weight loss systms over the last few years. Although not accepted by all scientists, it supposedly allows weight loss but still allows you to eat many foods that are not normally available to dieters, like meat and butter. Unlike other diets, on the atkins diet you are encouraged to eat meat and fat, it is the carbs that are on the banned list. It is referred to as a low carbohydrate, high protein, diet system. With this diet, the foods you should avoid are processed and refined sugar, milk, white bread, starchy vegetables, white rice and white flour, amongst them, cereals and pasta made from white flour. Unlike other diets, on the atkins diet the foods you are encouraged to eat continues to be nutrient-rich unprocessed foods like meat, fish & poultry. You also can eat shellfish, regular full fat cheese, butter and olive oil. Foods containing allyl sulfides ( includes garlic, leeks and green onion) The alliaceae family is high in allyl sulphides, a chemical which experts believe might be linked to a reduced risk of stomach and colon cancer. Even though there is too little scientific proof published, allyl sulfides are also thought by nutritionalists to reduce symptoms with blood circulation, sterilization and insomnia. Foods containing allyl sulfides are low in calories, so you should add them to your diet system. |
