1 package (8 0z. size) cream cheese
3/4 cup finely chopped pecans milkcote or w, hitecoat cho
Directions
Cream the cream cheese and add pecans. Chill until cheese will form
balls. Dip balls into melted whitecoat or milkcote chocolate coating.

The Atkins’ Diet
First invented by doctor atkins in the sixities, the atkins diet has been one of the most popular weight loss systems over the last few years. Popular with many famous celebrities, it enables fat reduction whilst still eating many foods that are not normally available to dieters, for example beef and some dairy produce. On the atkins diet you are encouraged to eat meat and fat, it is the carbs that are on the banned list. It is referred to as a high protein, low carb, weight loss program. With this diet, the foods you should avoid are processed and refined sugar, milk, white bread, starchy vegetables, white rice and white flour, including cereals and pasta made from white flour. Unlike other diets, with the atkins diet the foods you are encouraged to eat are nutrient-rich unprocessed foods like meat, fish and poultry. You also can eat shellfish, regular full fat cheese, butter & olive oil. The Atkins’ Diet Theory The logic of the atkins diet is that if we eat less carbohydrates, our bodies will burn up our fat and we will get rid of some fat The South Beach Diet The South Beach diet is a diet plan invented by Miami, florida-area cardiologist arthur agatston which stresses that one should consume "good carbs" instead of "bad carbs" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats" Agatston invented his dietary regime for people who have heart disease, as a consequence of his detailed analysis of scientific studies completed on other weight loss regimes. Examples of good foods include, lean cuts of beef, turkey breast, prawns, provolone cheese, pistachios, eggs and certain vegetables, such as butter beans, cucumbers and snow peas. Foods containing lycopene (includes apricot, red bell peppers and sweet gourd) The chemical lypcopene is a simple chemical compound and a member of the carotenid family. It is the agent responsible for the red color of many fruits and vegetables. Intrestingly, unlike many other healthy agents, it does not become less effective if heated during cooking, but is in actuality increased in efficacy by going through the cooking process. . Its key advantage is that it works as an antioxidant and appears to be an asset in the battle to reduce the risks of cancer. This useful phytochemical is the most effective eliminator of singlet oxygen, which is linked with aging of the skin. It is also thought by nutritionalists to impede the growth of diseases affecting arterial blood vessels. |
