Superfoods containing flavonoids
(inlcudes cranberry, asparagus, garden pea and thyme)

The compounds known as flavonoids which are present in these fruits and vegetables are believed to have properties in fighting cancer.
Experts investigating the nutritional effects of flavonoids think they could also have most other healthy properties, including, but not limited to, antiviral and anti-platelet activities..
Many are low in calories, so are ideal for including in your weight loss program.

The low calorie diet

As most people know, low calorie diet says that in order to diet successfully, it is important to take in less calories than you need for exercise.

What is a calorie?
A calorie is a unit of measurement for energy. A 'calorie' is the amount of heat required to raise 1 kilogram of water 1 degree centigrade. If a food has more calories, then it will provide your body with a larger amount of energy when it is eaten.

Low-cal food types include bok choy, swede, watermelon, low fat hot-dogs, and low-fat cheese.

"A good cook is the peculiar gift of the gods. He must be a perfect creature from the brain to the palate, from the palate to the finger's end.
"Walter Savage Landor"

"A diet is the penalty we pay for exceeding the feed limit."

"Reality check: you can never, ever, use weight loss to solve problems that are not related to your weight. At your goal weight or not, you still have to live with yourself and deal with your problems. You will still have the same husband, the same job, the same kids, and the same life. Losing weight is not a cure for life"
Phillip C. McGraw
