Diet Diabetic Bark Candy Recipe brought to you by Diet Recipes To-Go
Diet informationThe Atkins’ Diet Now nearly 5 decades old, the famous atkins diet has been one of the most popular weight loss systms over the last few years. Popular with many famous celebrities, it enables fat reduction whilst encouraging you to eat many foods that are not normally available to dieters, like meat and egg and cheese. On the atkins diet it is considered good to eat fat and protein, it is the carbs that must be avoided. It is referred to as a low carbohydrate/high protein, diet. With this diet, the foods you should avoid are processed and refined sugar, milk, white bread, starchy vegetables, white rice and white flour, including cereals and pasta made from white flour. With the atkins diet the foods you are encouraged to eat are nutrient-rich unprocessed foods like meat, fish and poultry. You also can eat shellfish, regular full fat cheese, butter and, as a consequence, olive oil. The Atkins’ Diet Theory The 'science' behind the famous atkins diet is that even if our bodies use both fats and carbs to change into energy, it is the carbohydrates that are burned first. If we reduce your intake of carbohydrates, we will consume the fat we have stored and we will become thinner. This theory is divisive, not all nutritionalists agree and some even believe it might be unsafe. The South Beach Diet The South Beach diet is a diet system created by Cardiologist arthur agatston which encourages that one should consume "good carbohydrates" instead of "bad carbs" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats" Agatston invented his dietary regime as an aid to patients with heart conditions, as a consequence of his detailed analysis of scientific studies on other diets. Examples of good foods include, veal cutlets, turkey breast, prawns, fat free cheese, pistachios, nonfat yoghurt and some vegatables, like butter beans, broccoli and water chestnuts. |
