The Recipe Instructions
 

 

Ingredients

1/2 lb mushrooms, fresh
1/2 cup onions, chopped
2 lb chicken, raw
1 tsp chicken bouillon
1 tsp poultry seasoning
1/4 tsp salt
2 cup water
3/4 cup rice, uncooked


Directions

Slice mushrooms. Remove skin from chicken. Spray 12" skillet with
nonstick spray coating. Brown mushrooms, onion, and chicken pieces on
all sides over medium heat about 15 minutes. Stir in seasonings and
transfer to crockpot. Can be refrigerated overnight. Start crockpot
on LOW. When ingredients are heated, add rice. Cook until done.

Low calorie diet

In simple terms, low calorie diet states that if you want to achieve weight loss, the important thing to take in fewer calories than you use.

So what is a calorie?
A calorie is a measurement of the energy provided by food. The calorie is the amount of heat required to raise 1 kilogram of water 1 degree centigrade. If a meal has more calories, then it will provide your body with more energy to use when eaten.

Foods low in calories include celery, tomatoes, melon, low fat hot-dogs, and eggs.


The Glycaemic Index Diet
The gi index diet system is based around the glycaemic index, a list showing types of food and a score representing the rapidity that the carbs in the food gets converted to sugar in your blood stream. The believe is that long-acting types of food (ie those with a low Gi number), keep you satisfied for a longer period of time and help to take in fewer food without being miserabl;e.
It's also very useful for people with diabetes, as the low GI types of food are useful in reducing rises in glucose levels.


Carotenoid foods
(includes cilantro, kale and tomato ketchup)
These orange and green plants are rich in the carotenoids believed by nutritionalists to help in helping stop cancer, specifically of the the lungs. The majority of these are also low in calories, so should be included in every diet.
